Latest all singing all dancing facts and figures for the tourism industry in cyprus indicate a rise , and then a rise in incomes too! The newspapers report an increase in spending power for the tourists but a shorter stay duration, the Swiss seem to be spending the most money per person with the Israeli and Greek tourists the least amounts. An increase of 6.9 5 has been reported by the cypriot authorities for september So lets hope the trend continues and the upward figures increase in these times of global crisis.

The Department for the Registartion of new companies in Cyprus has reported a marked increase inn the number of companies registered, some are foreign companies registering in Cyprus.It is predicted that a higher amount will be generated in the second half of the term. The only European Member state not to have signed up to the Partnership for Peace is Cyprus. The subject has divided the politicians and AKEL members vote against whilst EDEK and EVROKO vote in favour. some believe Cyprus will be able to become a more active and prominant meber of the European Union if it were a member of the Partnership for Peace Party
